Low Carb Burger

My all time favorite cheat meal is a burger. Lucky for me, i can fit this awesome meal into my diet whenever i want!

Now, there are 2 ways i make this burger.

  1. Using burger thins (I use the brand Tip Top)

  2. Using lettuce leaves as the burger buns (super low carb and calorie)


  • Burger Thins OR Lettuce leaves (for bun)

  • 150g Lean ground beef

  • 1 large egg

  • tomato, sliced

  • red onion, sliced

  • 1/4 avocado, mashed

  • 1/2 cup lettuce, chopped

  • 1/4 tsp paprika

  • Salt and pepper


  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef with paprika, egg, salt and pepper, and shape into a ball.

  2. In a pan over medium heat, flatten the mince using a spatula.

  3. Cook each side for 2-3 minutes, or until browned and cooked right through.

  4. Construct your burger - On your burger thins layer avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, and your burger patty.

  5. Serve!
