Healthy Banana Bread

Hey beautiful people! When checking my blog requests this morning, I noticed I had 42 banana bread requests! FORTY-TWO! oh my god!!!

So I gotta give the people what they want!

Say hello to my healthier banana bread!


  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil (Or coconut oil)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/3 cup sugar-free maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup almond milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 very ripe mashed bananas

  • 1 3/4 cups wholemeal flour (or almond flour)

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup sugar-free chocolate chips


  • Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees celsius.

  • Line a bread tin with baking paper

  • In a bowl, combine all dry ingredients, and set aside.

  • In a large bowl, combine all wet ingredients using an electric mixer.

  • Gradually pour dry ingredients into wet ingredients and beat until completely combined.

  • Pour mixture into the bread tin and bake for 50 minutes or the top springs back (You can also use a knife or toothpick inserted into the center)

  • Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing
